A MILLION SCATTERED PIECES · EDITION 002 · FASCIA
Approved supplemental recording links · October 24, 2026
This appendix is part of the Side B / Side C listening expansion, not a sixth Side C journey. These recording identities and outbound links are approved for inclusion. The original thirteen-song Side A and five authored journeys do not change. Evidence-based inclusion is distinct from a claim that every recording has been personally auditioned; no artwork or audio is reproduced.
One song, several recording lives: “Maps”
Firsthand discovery — Jay heard Freya Ridings covering Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Maps” and brought the recording into the project on October 24, sharing his Shazam screenshot. This was his listening discovery and recommendation, not something Perplexity found for him. The subsequent research established the 2017 released single and the separate St Pancras live recording, then expanded the family with other performers. Those Freya recordings must not be conflated.
These recordings are Side C-connected extras; they are not public additions to J3, and the J3 withheld waypoint remains withheld. A composition is not the same object as a studio single, live version, or recorded performance.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs and “In Heaven” — separate official recording
- Yeah Yeah Yeahs — “In Heaven” (Royal Albert Hall): Official audio · Label context. A cover of the Peter Ivers / David Lynch composition, relevant to existing J1 and J3 research. No new or joined journey results from the release.
- Important: the Royal Albert Hall audio performance and Orpheum Theatre film are different source objects. Exact release-date disagreement among outlets can remain documented without blocking links.
Approved Side B recordings — comparison, not replacement
- CZARINA — “Cities in Dust” (N16, B3): Artist Bandcamp. Existing registry recording, retained and link-enabled; not an additional duplicate.
- Promenade Cinema — “Cities in Dust” (N15, B3): Artist Bandcamp. 2024 documented cover, previously cataloged but withheld pending listening; user approved inclusion.
- Heavy Cloud — “The Diamond Sea” (N21, B3): Label Bandcamp. Existing identity, not a newly counted discovery.
- Tenderlash — “If Only Tonight We Could Sleep” (B3): Artist Bandcamp. 2020 released Cure cover.
- The Flowers of Hell — “The Last Beat of My Heart” (B3): Artist Bandcamp. Cover identification supported by source research, distinct from later String Mix.
